Scott

For those of you trying to conquer the Internet and see every site, welcome to our blog. For those of you who accidentally stumbled upon our site looking for kittens playing the piano, I urge you to stay a while. I may not be a baby cat, but I’d like to think I’m somewhat adorable myself. Either way, I am going to introduce myself before I get to amazing you with my sports analysis and opinions (actually, I don’t have sports opinions, I have sports facts).

My name is Scott Polacek. I was born in Chicago and have done most of my growing up in Ohio. When it comes to sports, I am a huge Ohio State and Chicago sports homer (you are just going to have to deal with that). Except for the White Sox – they suck. I hate Michigan, the Packers, and the baseball Cardinals among others. My favorite sports moment (outside of the time I dominated my fellow seventh graders in a Little League game with two home runs in my first two at bats) is when molecular biology major Craig Krenzel led The Ohio State University Buckeyes to a national championship over the Nevin Shapiro-funded Miami Hurricanes. Since I am a Cubs fan, and therefore somewhat of a masochist, I also have to tell you my least favorite sports memory to balance things out. It’s probably a tie between the four month period from January-April 2007 (Ohio State lost the national championship game in football and basketball, while the Bears lost the Super Bowl) and the Steve Bartman catastrophe. Now that I have that out of my system and you know me so well, I hope this blog changes your life (or at least gets you through your next class).
