For some reason, as a kid I never really watched sports. Watching the ‘Cats in Lexington was pretty much required viewing so this was really the first time I ever really paid any attention. This still carries over - I watch the ball and not the plays, I still ask questions about rules, and I still don’t know any kind of sports history for any team past 2001. What I am now is absolutely hooked. These guys are all better at things like “knowing history,” “using facts,” “making a good point,” and “being funny” so I’ll be writing more about general sports and sports media stuff. Expect to see a lot of UK, point guard and soccer love and a whole lot of Duke hate.

Best Sports Moment: UK beating Ohio State in March Madness last year. I had completely gotten the time of the game wrong, and agreed to a can’t-back-out-now date. We went to a bar, where, of course, the game was on. I refused to look at the score, even though I wanted more than anything to be the only guy cheering against all the Ohio State fans there. We left at halftime. When I got home (at 5am) I fired up the recording, and jumped, fist pumped and silently screamed until the sun came up.
Worst Sports Moment: John Wall & Co. losing to West Virginia during March Madness. Just pass it inside! Stop shooting threes! Ohgodwhy.
